FAQs
How the dry shampoo powder works
What does each ingredient do?
Doggie Deodorant only utilizes a short list of ingredients to make sure it is as pet friendly as possible. Arrowroot powder absorbs oil and sweat, regulates pH levels, mitigates odor, and contains hair-benefiting nutrients like Omega-3 fatty acids. Baking soda also absorbs oils and neutralizes odor. And the best part is all of the ingredients are hypoallergenic.
The essential oils all serve a purpose as well, in addition to providing an amazing smell that's long-lasting on your dog's coat. Lavender and chamomile oils are antibacterial and can help soothe irritated skin. Our odor-free option uses coconut oil. It will still eliminate odor, but it will not provide any scent.
How to use it:
It's simple! Just shake the bottle two or three times over your dog's coat, and gently rub in the powder. For best results, let it sit for about a minute before rubbing or combing it in all the way.
NOTE: I recommend applying it outside. Even though it will be a lot less stressful than a bath, your dog could still be wiggly.
Are there other uses for it?
Glad you asked! You can also use this on your pet's bedding. Do not let the white coloring fool you: it will rub in without a trace! The only thing that will be lingering is the amazing scent of lavender. Even the odor-free powder will have an impact on the odor.
